2081 | DAYBREAK | ES successfully defend Dhunad against the PLM in one of the bloodiest battles of the entire war. Although the PLM decide to focus their efforts elsewhere, the ES fail to fully recover before the KA take Panjar.
2082 | DAYBREAK | The CDF begin to withdraw from Daybreak due to increasing unrest in their home country, Cascadia. The war was nothing but unprofitable and unpopular, staining the reputation of Cascadia and their army.
The VMA forcibly clear the towns of Bahar and Elvira of their civillian population, and demolish the infrastructure.
2083 | DAYBREAK | The KA clear the collapsed tunnel to Korvaria and begin their largest push yet into DNA territory.
The PLM sign a temporary truce with the DNA. This is so that the PLM can focus on fighting the VMA, a common enemy, and the last foreign power in the region following the CDF's withdrawal.
2084 | DAYBREAK | After gaining ground against the VMA, and capturing Ruthertoll, the PLM face an internal coup that splits them into three new factions. Three new factions are created: the Social Democratic Alliance in the west, the Revolutionary Worker's Party (Trotskyist) in Linkt, and the People's Revolutionary Movement (Marxist-Leninist) in the east. The three factions fight with each other, dealing a lot of damage to the Linkt industrial belt that cripples all three of them.
The KA successfully capture Korvaria, emboldening their soldiers like never before. Sleeper cells launch terrorist attacks throughout Daybreak.
2085 | DAYBREAK | The KA lay siege to Daybreak City. In a last ditch attempt to survive, the DNA fire the Sunkiller superweapon at a group of KA mechs, including the one harboring the Iron Cannibal. Hundreds of thousands of civilians are turned into collateral damage, and the DNA lose the support of the international community, as well as the support of even many of their own soldiers.
Seeking an opportunity to invade without lowering their standing with other nations, Brightfire invade and quickly capture much of the south west. They claim that it is a necessary war in order to avoid supposed persecution of religious minorities by the KA, and to maintain 'economic freedom' that the SDA won't offer.
2086 | DAYBREAK | ES manage to broker peace with the SDA and RWP, but the PRM refuse any agreement. The RWP help them to push into VMA territory. The VMA have taken what they wanted from these areas already, and don't put up a strong defence.
At their border with KA, ES focus on fortifying their defences as much as possible. They believe that KA have become too powerful to advance on.
Puratova claim a small area of land in the north east just to create buffer zone between the ES and one of their cities.
2087 | DAYBREAK | After nobody can gain control of Daybreak City, a truce is signed between the KA, SDA, and Brightfire. None of them will make any further advances on the city, and it is now allowed functional independence.
Warlord factions have become significant threats all throughout Smoke Desert. One of the warlords, a former radlands scavenger, uses Phantom Soul to kick up sand storms with hardlight, and to launch surprise attacks using laskatana equipped AI. He seems more interested in fighting the larger factions than the other warlords, which makes it very hard for them to advance.
2088 | DAYBREAK | Former DNA soldiers in Thorne Hill use hidden weapon caches to launch a successful rebellion against the SDA, who fail to recapture the city. They're lead by a DNA general turned warlord. There are suggestions that she is recieving support from Brightfire.
The ES and KA stop fighting at Veruva, and agree to leave the area as a no man's land. They don't formally declare peace of any kind, but don't advance on the territory any longer. ES pump resources into supplying and training other anarchist groups from around the world.
2089 | DAYBREAK | Daybreak's natural resources have largely been depleted and sold to foreign nations. The fighting dies down somewhat, as most factions can't afford new equipment, and very few mechs are being produced. The VMA have mostly lost interest in the region, and begin to fall back to their border.
Northern Daybreak is increasingly becoming uninhabitable due to pollution and desertification. This causes major problems for the future of ES, as much of the civilian population is forced to leave the region forever.
2090 | GLOBAL | Cascadia enter its own civil war, splitting into a dozen new states. This was the result of several factors including political tensions created by the migrant crisis, the increasing power of the mega rich, and the increasing poverty of the state. Vitaria sells guns to every involved faction, and experiences a huge economic boom.
2091 | DAYBREAK | The SDA sign a peace agreement with the RWP, and while the PRM remain officially at war with everybody, they're only actually fighting with the RWP.

The warlords contorolling Lamplight take a slightly more democratic turn, appealing to the international community by expressing interest in making their community liveable, and finding a way to improve the state of the radlands.
2095 | VITARIA | A number of former ES soldiers are involved in the creation of the Automat.
2096 | PURATOVA | The Wilderlands hold a vote that reveals overwhelming support for independence. The central government ignore the request, claiming that the vote was unconstitutional because it had not recieve a federal greenlight beforehand.
2097 | DAYBREAK | The Honor Caucus push KA back, and infiltrate the Veruva cave system. This means that ES are free to expand slightly into the formerly neutral zone, and no longer border or risk fighting with KA.
The Smoke Desert Pact is created by a number of warlord groups who want more freedom than The Honor Caucus offers them, and are afraid of subjugation. The warlords continue to control their individual towns and forts, but no longer raid each other, and cooperate for defence purposes against the larger factions.
2098 | DAYBREAK | After KA complete a new tunnel through the mountains that divide their state, Daybreak City are able to purchase territory from them, as well as from their other neighbours. This drives the city into a deep economic depression.
Threats of sanctions, and humanitarian concerns, cause the SDA to grant Thorne Hill control of the road connections leading away from their city.
A series of minor territory swaps ensue.
